VOYAGE AIR has only been in existence since 1995, but don't be mistaken, you'll have a hard time finding a float plane operator with a better safety record and more experience than this one.

Expertise and Commitment to Safety:

VOYAGE AIR reflects the more than 30 years of experience earned
by its owner and operator Barry O'Brien, a seasoned bush pilot and engineer.
Barry dedicates his efforts toward one thing, and that's safety.

Attention to detail:

Operating primarily as a seasonal float plane service has its advantages. Every winter, the aircraft are not just "mothballed" waiting for spring, but receive the undivided attention of the maintenance staff. They are routinely torn down, inspected and overhauled from the spinner back to the tail, whether they need it or not.
(Barry thinks this is fun).

Maintenance:

VOYAGE AIR's newest maintenance facility is located at their Buffalo Narrows, Saskatchewan Base. Their brand new hangar is capable of servicing multiple aircraft simultaneously, up to and including Voyage Air's Turbo Otter.

Clean Machines:

The TLC these aircraft receive is manifested by their immaculate condition, dispatch reliability and safety record.


VOYAGE AIR doesn't stop flying just because it gets cold. Skis can replace the floats on any of Voyage Air's aircraft. Shown here is a Cessna 185 retrofitted to wheel-skis.

During the winter months, the DeHavilland Beaver on wheel- skis can get the job done anytime............anywhere.

"Hey Pilot! How much time you got?"

VOYAGE AIR's Pilots are a selected few that are hand picked by the owner himself and are required to have a minimum of 1,000 hours of flying experience before even being considered for employment. In fact, some of his pilots have more than 10,000 hours of flying time (each) and return seasonally.


I guess you could say this ensures many happy landings. So far, so good.

VOYAGE AIR is Transport Canada approved to carry dangerous goods such as gasoline, diesel and propane.
