Skull Canyon

Looking from a vantage point downstream, one can see what they're in for. From top to bottom, it takes about 18 to 20 seconds in a white water raft.

Needless to say, the portage trail is a bit wider here. Earlier in the season, when the water is higher, their is an alternate canoe route on a bypassing stream.

Panning left 90 degrees, we see the lower end of the pot island that separates the waterfall from the rapids.

Obviously, this picture was taken after a few "victory cocktails".

Looking left again downstream, it's easy to see that the scenery doesn't stop here.

These views of the Clearwater river in northern Saskatchewan are  just a sample of  the raw beauty of its' ever changing terrain.
